DETAILED DESCRIPTION
A battery monitor that infers battery charge based on the unloaded voltage between terminals. It uses an ADC (based heavily on the circuit of Adafruit's excellent ADS1115 breakout: https://www.adafruit.com/product/1085) to provide a numerical value for the charge, a 7-segment display (based heavily on the 7-segment driver breakout from Adafruit: https://www.adafruit.com/product/877), a network of zener diodes and LEDs to give visual indication of the charge level, and an ATMEGA 328-PU (based on the Adafruit boarduino kit: https://www.adafruit.com/product/72). Color indication is based on the safe working levels of a standard 12V lead-acid battery, so may require fine tuning.
I've provided source code for the arduino here: https://github.com/brianpscoggins/vanVoltMeter
