DETAILED DESCRIPTION
The goal of this project is to create a low cost ECG, using an Arduino Redboard, that still provides doctors sufficient data to diagnose heart conditions. A 16 character LCD will be connected to the Redboard to provide a small UI that contains data such as heart rate. The ECG will use an AD627ANZ Instrumentation Amplifier followed by an LM358N Dual-Operational Amplifier to amplify the hundreds of uV signal from the skin into a 0 to 5V range that the Redboard's 8-bit ADC can read. The first side of the Op Amp will have an Active High Pass RC Filter, whereas the other side will have and Active Low Pass RC Filter. There will be four copies of this circuit in the whole ECG, one for each lead.
