DETAILED DESCRIPTION
Some years ago we bought a very nice HP computer that came with an HP 2509m monitor, with speakers. After a couple of years the power board and backlight supply board died from some badly chosen driver FETs. (The PC continues to be a family workhorse due to the upgrades I made when it was bought!)
Since that time I've tried to find replacement PCB's and parts, but because the monitor was made for HP hardly anything was provided for service. Yet, there have been schematics that closely match the board I am trying to spec out and recreate here - the ILPI-162 Rev B, 492961400100R, 2009.11.21.
I'd ultimately like to even spec the two daughter cards, QLTR-016 Rev A (Switcher Controller), and ILTR-034 Rev A (backlight controller). It was this latter PCB that initially failed due to a bad solder joint on one of the pairs of Cold Cathode Flourescent Tubes, which arced and took out one of the driver FETs. That was repaired, but there were other issues that needed to be taken care of also. Now its just a side project to 'rebuild' it, including the use of strip LED lighting to replace the CCFLs.
