DETAILED DESCRIPTION
Education in the 21st century is changing considerably. New technologies promote much more dynamic and interactive learning models and classes such as gamification, mobile learning, and flipped classroom.
When we talk about this last methodology we are talking about the flipped classroom. It is a form of learning that suggests transferring the work of certain processes outside the classroom in order to use class time, together with the teacher's experience, to facilitate and enhance other more complex cognitive processes within the classroom.
In other words, the flipped classroom proposes a statement of purpose editing service, accessing the contents of the subjects at home, either through their tablets or mobile devices or through their computers, so that then in the classroom is where they do their homework, and can interact and carry out more participatory activities, analyze ideas or/and debate among themselves, among other things.
What are the advantages of Flipped Classrooms?
The classroom methodology of the immediate future brings with it several advantages for both students and teachers :
- Flipped classroom adapts more easily to the rhythm of each student, allowing you to move forward with less pressure and with customizable material on many occasions.
- The flipped classroom allows teachers to opt for much more interactive and participatory face-to-face classes since they will have more time to prepare debate activities, resolution of doubts, games, practices, etc.
- computer science homework help is no longer "traditional" to focus more on how students develop content and what they contribute to the acquisition of knowledge and work to deepen and expand subjects. This part of the flipped classroom is related to what is known as connectivism.
- Family members also become important support with this way of teaching as they can be much more directly involved in the education and training content of their children, much more participatory than usual homework.
- The spirit of teamwork is encouraged, something that students will find very useful in the world of work and which, in turn, reduces cases of (cyber) bullying as well as communication problems in the classroom.
- From a technological point of view, access to content through ICT makes students seek or have to know the operation of digital resources.
How to do it?
All these advantages of the flipped classroom not only motivate the student and make more use of their time in the classroom, but also promote learning and improve their work and personal relationships. But how do I turn my classroom into a flipped classroom?
- Videos: there is no flipped classroom without educational videos that will surely be to the liking of the “ YouTube generation”. To implement it, you have to create a channel on any of the platforms for it and the content that is uploaded should not last more than ten minutes.
- Social networks: from posing exercises in closed groups to locating information; Social channels offer a lot of possibilities to encourage participation in the classroom and develop jobs.
- ICT: in addition to everything we have already mentioned, ICT proposes new evaluation models such as those offered by digital platforms such as Socrative, which allows you to carry out online questionnaires and personalized evaluation sheets.
- Endless platforms: for creating infographics, for video editing, for downloading images, for music, educational that offer thousands of activities, for creating concept maps, etc.
These are just a few examples of everything that the flipped classroom offers, an upward methodology. If you are a teacher and need more information or want to train in new skills, we recommend the digital content creation course, as this teaching model is specifically studied, as well as introducing gamification in the classroom or undertaking mobile learning experiences.
