Simplified version of the AEM Vibrations Rev. 3.0 design, swapping out the AVR based ATmega2560 for a high speed ARM Cortex M0 in a smaller TQFP. The design supports native USB 2.0 communication at 6 Mbps, a factor 6 improvement over Rev. 3.0, without the need for a CH340 USB controller. As a compromise to system architecture, the parallel data acquisition system of Rev. 3.0 has been replaced with an interleaved SPI bus, allowing each device to be sampled sequentially but at a much higher base speed than Rev. 3.0. Clock frequency is 48 MHz with internal PLL multiplier from a 32.768 kHz crystal, eliminating excessive EMI on the PCB level.
The board can be programmed using the 10 pins JTAG connector and a suitable programmer (like the JTAG ICE MK2), or through USB once a bootloader has been flashed. Keystone test points are provided on all digital bus interfaces with the exception of USB.
