DETAILED DESCRIPTION
The glass front of my Radionette Menuett from the 60's shattered. I designed a new one, with a couple of improvements.
- Design as close as possible to the original glass front
- Add decoding of the 4- and 5-position rotary knobs
- Add measurement of the variable capacitor of the frequency knob
- Add LED backlighting
- Add detection of the 6.3V AC glow
- Add touch buttons behind the city names
- Add interface to connect to a Raspberry Pi or something else
- Break out other pins just in case
Using inkscape to draw first and then import is really nice, with a couple of exceptions:
- Importing huge and detailed drawings might kill CM. I had to go via Altium Designer to get it to work with this design.
- Using inkscape for normal text and then importing to CM is not really nice, do that in CM afterwards
Remaining:
- Implement all the code
- Tune the qtouch stuff
- Test gluing an acrylic sheet on the front of the PCB
- Publish code
- Update this description
