My Components
Immersed in electronics during the cold war maintaining a SAC mainframe, I later picked up a BSEE from Cal Poly designing the world's first real-time intelligent music harmonizer as my Senior Project. I designed an automated test fixture to validate parts in a missile telemetry system for the USN, then off to a contractor where I designed an electronic key for an IFF rocket launch validation system. Tektronix ran an ad coinciding with an article that engineers were happier in the NW, so I joined their small team working on a stealth-mode automated video test set. When we pulled back the curtains at a trade show, the VM700 quickly won an Emmy and made piles of cash. After that, I worked on the 728E, 728D, and ASG100. At MTi, I designed home theater demo kiosks for Bose. For the last two decades at Summit Semiconductor, I've been responsible for the realization of pcb hardware supporting the chip design of PC-to-TV converters, Ultrawideband Radios (UWB), and WiSA Wireless Home theater.
