DETAILED DESCRIPTION
The purpose of this project is to show users how things can be wired up (a.k.a. electrically connected) in CircuitMaker - starting with the schematic which the project compiler then uses to generate the internal net connections list for the PCB layout. On the PCB side, it's left unrouted to see the "rats-nest" (a.k.a. "air wires").
In this project we see simple and more advanced connectivity methods, but all are easy to understand:
- Wires
- Buses
- Harnesses
- Hierarchical blocks (sheets)
- Ports and Sheet Entries
- Harness Connectors
- Net Labels
- Power Ports
For more detail on all of these see "Connectivity and Multi-Sheet Design" in External Links. While that guide is written for Altium Designer, it applies also to CircuitMaker.
